Isabella Bernstein is a Boston-based journalist specializing in arts, pop culture and criticism. She currently works at CULTURED  Magazine as an editorial intern, as well as as the acting editor in chief for the arts and culture publication The Avenue Magazine, a staff writer and critic at the music publication Tastemakers Magazine, contributing opinion writer at The Huntington News, and a freelance writer at UnHerd. She has worked as a Living/Arts correspondent at the Boston Globe. She has reported on everything from AI companionship bots, to the fine dining industry, to literary horror, to pop music, and has interviewed Olivia Wilde, Charlie Day, Mona Awad, and more. 

She has also worked as a photographer for The Avenue. She won several Arizona Silver Key awards for photography between 2020 and 2022, as well as has been a featured exhibiting artist at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art in 2022.

In her free time, Isabella enjoys reading magical realism, cooking, watching movies, playing tennis, going to concerts, and using the oxford comma when doing personal, non-AP Style writing.
